Verizon’s Blackberry Storm is more than just a simple cell phone, it’s a smart phone. This means it can access the internet, send and receive email, and much, much more. The phone has just as many capabilities as the Apple iPhone and the T-Mobile G1, in fact. If you’re looking for a phone that allows you to communicate with the world, listen to music, and more, check out what the Blackberry Storm can do for you in terms of applications.
- Like most smart phones, the Storm allows you to check your email. However, you can actually set up several different email accounts for the Storm to check automatically, allowing you to quickly scan personal, work, and other emails.
- The Storm’s browser allows you to view websites and bookmark favorites.
- The calendar application lists dates, lets you schedule meetings, and make to-do lists.
- The media application allows you to play songs, browse your ring tones, view images, and play videos. The Storm easily connects to any laptop or PC and includes software to automatically convert music and video files to those usable by the Storm.
- The voice recorder lets you use your Storm to record voice memos and make notes hands-free.
- The Storm’s desktop software includes a variety of functions for managing documents and syncing your Storm with your PC or laptop.
- Read Microsoft Office documents and make basic edits to them while on the go.
- Likewise, you can read PDF files on your Storm.
- Finally, many third-party applications are supported by the Storm and the Blackberry OS. Many of these can be downloaded off the internet for free.

Hey Lisa, I think you have to once visit Blackberry Storm Apps where many such useful apps are featured and available only @ $0.99. I too have bought some…
Unfortunately the Storm has a ways to go. I bought mine the first day it came out. Silly me to think that it would be ready. I am sure someday this will be a great device, but for now I hated it. Took it back for an iphone.
Although I did hear that there is new firmware that just came out through verizon. Hope it speeds things up a bit.
Anyway, cool blog

There is little storage space for Apps on my Storm. After I’ve added about 10 apps there is only 9mb left. Is there any way to store apps on the sd card rather than using device memory to do so?

Hi there! Do you know if they make any plugins to protect against hackers? I’m kinda paranoid about losing everything I’ve worked hard on. Any suggestions?
How do you get people to visit your blog and good blogging sites?
